Projection

It all started with Maxime Aumon’s crazy idea to build a wingless aircraft to cross the Polar Urals, carried by a group of men. No, this is not a new science fiction tale but the subject of this unique documentary. Two daring artists took part in this surreal and human adventure: the visual artist Malo Lacroix and the composer In Aeternam Vale. They travelled on foot from Vorkuta (a former Gulag) to Kharp, a prison town in the Urals, covering a distance of over 150 km in Northern Siberia, far from the hustle and bustle of Moscow. Presented here in the form of a documentary, this hybrid project is also showcased as an audiovisual performance and an exhibition.
