L’installation Leaks est composée de plusieurs tubes transparents à travers lesquels circulent des liquides aux densités différentes. À la manière de l’alphabet morse, ces signaux de liquide tantôt courts, tantôt longs, permettent de transmettre des sons capturés dans les espaces d’exposition du festival. Ces mots capturés seront ensuite retransmis de manière aléatoire par la machine. Loin d’être un outil de surveillance de masse comme ceux déployés par les agences gouvernementales, Leaks nous révèle comment les sons qui nous entourent peuvent être stockés et diffusés sous une toute autre forme.

The installation « Leaks » is made up of transparent tubes that shows patterns with the help of contrasting liquids. In the same way as morse code, liquid patterns – sometimes short, sometimes longer – are retransmitting some sounds recorded in the space where the installation is presented. Leaks synthesises random words and phrases into a text that will be displayed on the installation, that will relay the mood of the event. Far from being a surveillance tool for governmental agencies, Leaks show us how sounds surrounding us can be stored and broadcasted in in an alternative way.
